Dodge confirmed Thursday it would build an all-electric muscle car in 2024. The announcement, part of a live-streamed press conference put on by parent company Stellantis, is part of the automotive conglomerate's coordinated plan to switch all 14 of its brands to electric power in the coming years.

Dodge did not reveal any details on the car, but CEO Tim Kuniskis spoke on his belief that electric power is the way forward.

“Our engineers are reaching a practical limit of what we can squeeze from internal combustion innovation,” he said during the stream, according to The Verge. “They know we know that electric motors can give us more. And if we know of a technology that can give our customers an advantage.”
