September fashion: The jackets, dresses and shoes we're buying to take us into the new season

It seems like yonks ago we were bragging about our never-ending summer that gave us heatwave on top of heatwave. But now that September is officially here, it’s time to change tactics.

Sad as it may be, we’re packing away the denim cut-offs and frilly white blouse and embracing a trans-seasonal wardrobe to ease us into the impending autumn.

There’s a back-to-school feeling in air when it comes to fashion: we’re enjoying the onslaught of new new trends, such as the divisive cycling shorts, cold weather-appropriate corduroy, and the chief of print of the season – animal.

Here, we bring you the jackets (yes, sorry), the dresses, shoes and accessories we’re coveting this September.
