Pete Davidson wears bracelet with Ariana Grande's future married initials on MTV VMAs red carpet

It’s hard to top Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, but Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande put in a strong showing for prom king and queen at Monday night’s MTV VMAs. The engaged couple packed on the PDA during the awards show, which also marked their official red carpet debut as a party of two.

And while the absence of Grande’s go-to ponytail caused something of a style stir, it was Davidson who wore the evening’s most buzzed-about accessory: a blue bracelet with three beads spelling out “AGD,” aka the initials his pop star fiancée will have once they wed and she takes on his last name.

Last weekend, the singer revealed in an interview with Apple Music Beats that she intends to change her name to Ariana Grande-Davidson when she ties the knot with her Saturday Night Live beau. So… is Davidson’s jewelry merely a nod to the inevitable, or a hint that a wedding has already taken place?

Needless to say, fans are buzzing.
