Heron Preston delivers a daring take on streetwear, supplying sultry silhouettes, subversive layering and bold accessories for its first New York Fashion Week Show.

The Black-owned brand demonstrates a sincere connection with its audience, looking to a future in which fashion doesn't take itself too seriously, relishing in experimentation. Heron Preston offers a Fall/Winter 2023 collection of impossibly cool and playful pieces, creating a high-low aesthetic that effortlessly merges chainmail dresses and baggy sweatpants without question. Grounded in grungy tones from deep black to electric green, the offering is home to fur-trimmed mini-skirts, frayed denim crop-tops and mesh catsuits.

The designer masterfully marries dyed gym shorts with opulent fur coats, pairing feminine and demure tweed sets over spacious loungewear and balaclavas. Other standouts include a picture-perfect Y2K corset worn on top of an otherwise basic white hoodie and matching distressed jeans. Long-sleeved T-shirts with inflammatory phrases sit alongside motorcross-inspired jackets and flirty open lace blouses. Accessories arrive in the form of furry moon boots, hats that read "S.T.F.U.," sleek Matrix-style sunglasses and ski-ready goggles, as well as an over abundance of leather gloves.
