If you’re also a fiend for a killer online sale, then it’s likely you’re already familiar with the annual blessings of Amazon’s Prime Day deals. This year, the shopping starts tonight, July 10th at 6 p.m., PST and continues all day on July 11th. In keeping with the last few years of Amazon Prime Day, new deals will be rolling out every five minutes and the savings will be dead set on annihilating our wallets.

If you’ve never shopped Amazon’s Prime Day deals, it’s basically a summertime Black Friday with fewer turkey leftovers or people trampling each other at Walmart. So, it’s really pretty chill.

For those uninitiated, we are here to give you the lowdown on how it works, and what deals are being offered this year!

You’ll want to download the Amazon app

First things first, you’re going to need and want to download the Amazon App. Beyond making it easy to shop directly from your phone, the app will give you updates on Today’s Deal and will let you know which deals have rolled out in the last few minutes. You can even peek ahead at Upcoming Deals to see what’s about to drop. Shopping made easy!

If you have anything you’re waiting on (saleswise), you can use the “Watching” tool and the app will notify you once it’s on sale. Given the rapid-fire sales rolling out on Prime Day, the app is an indispensable tool to aid in the destruction of your savings account.

Let Amazon Assistant do the work for you

If you’re keeping your nose to the grindstone at work but you still want to get in on the fun, you can install the Amazon Assistant browser plug-in and still receive updates on the deals as they roll out. Amazon Assistant will also keep an eye out for products that you’re interested in and check in on price comparisons — this saves you both time and money.

Make Alexa your personal shopper

If navigating the maze of deals on your phone or computer feel overwhelming, you can now ask Alexa for the lowdown. She already knows all the deals, so if you just ask “Alexa, what are the current deals?” She’ll turn into the robot shopping assistant you didn’t know you needed. Plus, there are exclusive Alexa Prime Day voice shopping deals you can only access through her prowess.

What are lighting deals?!

Before we get into the types of products you can snatch, let’s break down the most elusive sale type: lightning deals. Lightning deals are items that are on sale for a limited time during the day (meaning, maybe only a few hours). Some even get snatched up within minutes. Depending on popularity, some lightning deals have a time-stamp expiration for savings, while others are bought out long before the expiration time.

What kinds of products can I buy?!

Honestly, there are so many categories included, that pretty much any type of product you can imagine will be included. Since Amazon Prime Day is more focused on individual products than whole categories, there aren’t widespread blanket sales based on category. However, you can sort your shopping by opting to see what’s 10% off, 25% off, 50% off, or 70% Off or more.

Shoppers can also shop based on price by shopping Prime deals under $25, deals between $25 to $50, sales between $50 to $100, and even products $200 and above. While Amazon technically has a total of 28 categories, it appears the most prominent categories for Prime day sales include: Movies and TV, Grocery, Personal Care, Pet Supplies, Beauty, Health Care, Baby Care, Food, Auto, Industrial and Office, and Electronics.

You’ll be able to buy movies for $5 and rent them online for $1. You’ll be able to grab a Radha Beauty Retinol Moisturizer Cream for Face and Eye Area for $20 instead of $50. The deals will abound.

Are you ready for this mad dash to begin?
