Car catches fire in Arlington parking garage, causes ‘significant smoke conditions’

ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) — Arlington Fire and EMS (ACFD) crews responded to a vehicle fire inside a parking garage Monday morning.

The car that caught on fire was located inside a parking garage in the 1500 block of Key Blvd. in the Rosslyn area.

Crews found the car on fire, put it out and worked to clear out the smoke.

ACFD said there were “significant smoke conditions” in the parking garage and throughout various parts of the connected building. It said residents throughout the Rosslyn area should expect the smell of smoke due to the 2-alarm fire.

The Office of the Fire Marshal was investigating what caused the fire.

No injuries were reported.
