A semi-truck that went up in flames in the eastbound lane of Interstate 10 near mile marker 231 snarled traffic for miles Monday afternoon

The truck fire was called in at about 2:45 p.m. Video of the scene showed emergency vehicles blocking the road as crews worked to fully extinguish the truck. At about 3:40 p.m., the highway was reopened and traffic was flowing in a single lane.

An FHP spokesperson said no-one was injured in the truck fire.
