You may have heard about a chain of warehouse stores called Costco Wholesale.
Founded in 1976 and originally called Price Club, the first location was in a converted airplane hangar located on Morena Boulevard in San Diego.
Now operating across eight countries, Costco has almost everything you could need from shampoos and baked goods to furniture and motor oil.

Costco location hours vary by store. Most of the warehouses in metro Phoenix open at 10 a.m. on weekdays, 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. on Sundays.

What time does Costco close?
Most Costcos in metro Phoenix close at 8:30 p.m. on weekdays and 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Exceptions include the Phoenix Business Center which closes at 6 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

Is Queen Creek getting a Costco?
A new Costco location opened in Queens Creek in January after a two-year wait. The store is located at 20260 S. Ellsworth Road and is open from 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
A location also opened in Buckeye in July. Located at 1111 N. Verrado Way. It is also open from 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
How much is a Costco membership in Phoenix?
There are three different Costco memberships available to customers across Arizona. Prices range from $60-$120.
The Gold Star Membership, which starts at $60 annually and includes a free household card, is valid at all Costco locations worldwide.
The Business Membership starts at $60 annually and includes a household card. You can purchase for resale but need to provide Costco with the appropriate resale information. Affiliate cardholders can be added for $60 each and the card is valid at all Costcos worldwide.
Lastly, the Executive Membership, which is $120 annually, includes a household card, is valid at all Costco locations worldwide. There is an annual 2% reward on qualified Costco purchases, additional benefits on certain Costco travel products and more savings.
Can I just go to Costco and get a membership?
You can visit any Costco warehouse and go to their membership desk to join in person. They also have options to sign up online or by calling 1-800-774-2678.

Can I bring someone to Costco with me?
Although your Costco card is nontransferable, you can bring up to two guests with you to a Costco warehouse during each visit. Purchasing items is exclusive to Costco members. If you are the primary member or account manager of your membership, then you can assign your free household card to another person in your home.
