Testosterone Blockers For Trans Women Don’t Even The Playing Field In Athletic Competition With Biological Women Says Researcher

Do hormone treatments, like testosterone blockers, take away a trans woman’s physical advantage over a female in athletic competition? “Males have natural and categorical advantages over females in terms of strength, speed, and power,” says Harvard professor Dr. Carole Hooven, who has been researching sex differences and testosterone in humans for over 20 years. “We have no evidence to show that that initial, natural male advantage, on average - in highly trained athletes - is removed.” Does Dr. Hooven say she agrees or disagrees that an athlete who was assigned male at birth but transitions to female should be banned from competing in women’s sports?
