Tennessee Titans 'not shopping or taking calls' on star wide receiver A.J. Brown | Report

The Tennessee Titans are "not shopping or taking calls" on star wide receiver A.J. Brown, according to a report Tuesday from ESPN.

Brown, 24, has been the subject of trade rumors in recent weeks. He, along with ex-Ole Miss teammate and current Seahawks star D.K. Metcalf, have been linked to the Jets, who have reportedly been active looking for a receiver.

At the NFL's annual meeting last week, general manager Jon Robinson made it clear he wants to keep Brown, who's eligible for an extension this offseason.

"He’s a guy we want to keep a Titan a long time,” Robinson said.

It remains unclear how close to a deal the Titans are with Brown's camp, though Robinson has said it's a goal to extend the star receiver this offseason. Robinson said at the NFL scouting combine last month that extension talks were "very preliminary" and he told the team website last week that not much had changed since then.

Brown, a 2020 Pro Bowler, has been the Titans' leading receiver for three straight seasons. He had 63 catches for 869 yards and five touchdowns in 13 games in 2021.

The former Ole Miss star had at least 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first two seasons.
