Sun Country Airlines Holdings Inc., an ultra-low-cost airline based in Minneapolis, said Tuesday it will start flying between the two markets on April 13 through Sept. 4. It will offer twice-weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays in April, which will switch to Mondays and Fridays from May through September, according to its website.

Sun Country announced the new CLT flight as part of a larger expansion at its home base of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, where it is adding or resuming service on 15 nonstop routes this summer. Elsewhere in North Carolina, Sun Country will also start flying twice a week from Wilmington International Airport to MSP.
