TANK WILLIAMS: Every quarterback-needy team in the NFL is praying that Tua Tagovailoa can be the Frank Gore of this draft class. Like Gore, Tua flashed brilliance early, a comeback victory in the national championship his freshman year and balled so hard that Tanking for Tua became a thing. Also like Gore, he suffered multiple serious injuries, making him one the riskiest bets in the draft. Now, on the upside, Tua is smart, athletic, passionate, a great leader-- all the tools necessary to be a crowd-pleaser. But on the downside, NFL GMs have to be scared [? to throw ?] the [? craps ?] on the player who could be one injury away from being the best that never was.
But if Tua can stay healthy, he has the potential to be a modern day Steve Young. But you'll be interested to hear which NFL quarterbacks Tua admires.
TUA TAGOVAILOA: I admire guys like Russell Wilson so much, you know, guys like Drew Brees. You know, they're really good. I'd say I have sort of the same stature as them, but it's really who they are off the field, you know, that I sort of try to emulate.
