'RHOA': Sheree Whitfield Just Admitted Why She By Sheree Is Similar To Shein

The Real Housewives of Atlanta fans have been waiting 14 years to grab a shirt or pair of pants from the She by Sheree clothing line, which OG Sheree Whitfield introduced as a concept in the show’s second season. After years of trying to get it together, Whitfield finally has her clothing line out and ready for the public. The problem is most a lot of the public is not happy with the outcome with people dragging Whitfield for her pieces being similar to other fast fashion brands for a fraction of the cost Whitfield offers. She is now explaining herself to fans.

She By Sheree or SHEIN? Fans say the cothes are the same

Whitfield’s “fashion presentation” for the highly anticipated line aired during the Season 14 reunion to much fanfare. But she didn’t get the response she was probably expecting in the immediate aftermath. In addition to the website crashing, the clothing line received a lot of criticism.

People are complaining about the prices, her website crashing, and the resemblance to items from the likes of SHEIN, Fashion Nova and Amazon.

Items such as joggers and crop tops strike an eerily similar look to others on different fashion sites, but they cost much more. There are joggers on the site for $149 and T-Shirts in the same price range. The only difference for most fans is that Whitfield’s logo is on the clothes.

She recently discussed the website crash. Whitfield admits it's a bummer but it was a clear indicator that she has many supporters.

“This is just another example of over-promising and underdelivering,” she told Women’s Health. “But I am so grateful. I stand in prayer; I have chills even thinking about how many people are still interested at this time. To continue to have the website crash…it sounds bad, but it’s actually a good thing.”

She sets the record straight about clothing line

Whitfield also sat down with Gibson Johns to discuss the issue. She explained that she and clothing line SHEIN used the same vendor, and she wasn’t aware of it. Whitfield also expressed that she plans to incorporate pieces from other merchants with her custom pieces to give variety. But she feels she’s being unfairly targeted.

“This isn’t the first time this has been done,” she said. “I don’t know why people are holding me to a different degree than everybody else," she said.

It’s unclear which pieces she actually designed. There’s also no word yet on how much success she’s had, but she has relaunched the website since the initial crash.
