Recap: Five-set thriller on the Palouse, Washington State women's volleyball upsets No. 6 Washington in historic Apple Cup

Pac-12 Networks' Greg Heister recaps Washington State women's volleyball five-set upset victory versus No. 6 Washington on Sunday, Sept. 26 in Pullman. The Cougars and Huskies battled in a historic 46-44 fourth set, won by Washington, marking the longest set in NCAA women’s volleyball history. After the Huskies tied the match at 2-2 heading into the fifth set, the Cougars completed the upset victory in a 15-11 final set win. Junior outside hitter Pia Timmer finished with a career-high 31 kills for the Cougars. WSU moves to 8-4 overall and 2-0 in conference, while UW drops to 7-3 overall and 0-2 in Pac-12 play.
