Two killed in separate Clermont County crashes

A two-vehicle crash in Goshen Township left a Midland man dead Saturday night.

Shell's F-250 traveled off the right side of the roadway and sideswiped Pindell's car. Shell then went off the left side of the road, hitting a fence and a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Pindell was not injured in the crash.

Another person was killed in a single-vehicle crash a few hours later in Monroe Township.

Noah Walton, 19, was driving westbound on Bethel-New Richmond Road around 9:53 p.m. when his GMC Sierra failed to negotiate a curve.

The pickup truck then went off the right side of roadway. It hit an embankment and a tree before overturning on its side.

Walton was pronounced dead at the scene.

The patrol's Batavia post is investigating both crashes.

Clinton County head-on crash leaves one dead, one seriously injured

A head-on crash involving two vehicles in Washington Township left a 40-year-old man dead Saturday afternoon.

Around 3:55 p.m., Derrick Ison, 40, of Hillsboro, was driving a GMC Sierra southbound on U.S. 68 in Washington Township.

That was the same time Bonita Christon, 59, of Fayettesville, was traveling northbound on U.S. 68 in a Chevrolet Equinox.

Ison went left of center and hit Christon's car head-on near Milepost 9, according to the patrol.

Christon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ison sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital, then transferred to Miami Valley Hospital.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
