Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins out for Clippers game due to COVID protocols

The Memphis Grizzlies will be without Taylor Jenkins for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The reigning Western Conference coach of the month is entering health and safety protocols.

Brad Jones is the acting head coach. Normally, Darko Rajakovic would be next up, but he is also in health and safety protocols.

Jones is in his third season as a Grizzlies assistant. He was the coach of the Grizzlies' G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle, during the 2018-19 season

Jenkins is the 14th NBA coach to be sidelined by health and safety protocols. Six Grizzlies players recently returned from protocols, but Jenkins is joined on the list by Steven Adams.

If Jenkins or Adams tested positive for COVID-19, they'll be expected to miss a minimum of five days, per NBA rules.
