Jamal Adams says he has 'no hate' toward Adam Gase, Jets prior to revenge game

Things didn’t end well between Jamal Adams and the New York Jets. After expressing frustration over his contract situation, Adams demanded a trade from the franchise. He eventually got his wish, going to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for two first-round picks.

While you might think Adams would harbor some ill will toward the Jets, that’s not the case. As the Seahawks prepare to take on New York in Week 14, Adams said he has “no hate” toward head coach Adam Gase, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN.

“I don't hate Adam Gase,” he said. “I have no problem with Adam Gase. I just feel he didn't handle certain situations well as a head coach. That's just my opinion. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, just like you guys are. Everybody's entitled to an opinion, and that's the world we live in. But like I said, I have no hate towards Adam.”

Adams also said he’s not mad at the Jets for the team’s unwillingness to give him an extension. “There's no hard feelings towards them,” Adams said. “They had different views. I had a different view.”

Adams still hasn’t signed a new deal. After joining the Seahawks, Adams said he would play out his remaining contract, which runs through 2021.

In eight games, Adams has 58 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

Jamal Adams won’t reunite with Gregg Williams during Jets game

One person Adams didn’t mention in the lead up to the game was his former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Following Adams’ trade, Williams said he believed Adams would be “bored” in Seattle. Adams responded, saying “I don’t think I’m gonna get bored winning.”

If there’s any bad blood between the two, fans aren’t going to see it in Week 14. The Jets fired Williams on Monday after the team blew a last-second lead against the Las Vegas Raiders.
