Grading the Memphis Grizzlies' 2022 NBA draft pick: VCU guard Vince Williams Jr.

The Memphis Grizzlies' final pick of the 2022 NBA Draft? VCU guard Vince Williams, who fits a similar profile to the Grizzlies' three other draft picks this year.

Here's our grade on Williams, who was taken 47th overall.

The pick: C

The reason: Williams fits the Grizzlies' No. 1 need of 3-point shooting and also is a good defender. He shot 41.3% and 38.7% on 3-pointers the past two seasons. The questions come from his athleticism and whether he can overcome being at a disadvantage against quicker wings.

He'll also have to fight for a roster spot, and it's almost certain he'll be placed on a two-way contract. This is perhaps a stash pick where Williams will see more time to develop in the G-League
