Alex Winter directs ‘Showbiz Kids’ documentary, ‘Clueless’ turns 25 and more of this week’s best in pop culture

The documentary “Showbiz Kids” is written and directed by former child actor Alex Winter, of “Bill and Ted” fame. It includes former child stars: Evan Rachel Wood, Jada Pinkett Smith and the late Cameron Boyce sharing their personal stories. The doc also focuses on two currently unknown kids trying to get their big break in Hollywood. “Showbiz Kids” premieres Tuesday, July 14 on HBO. The teen classic “Clueless” turns 25! The Amy Heckerling movie that gave us '90s fashion, a whole new lingo and introduced us to an unforgettable cast, including the late Brittany Murphy, celebrates a milestone anniversary. “She was everything you could ever want,” said director Heckerling of Murphy’s portrayal of Tai Frasier. “Clueless” is currently streaming on Netflix. Former child stars share their personal stories in the documentary "Showbiz Kids."

EVAN RACHEL WOOD: I came from a family of artists. It was just kind of normal because everyone did it.

- Evan Rachel Wood, Jada Pinkett Smith, and the late Cameron Boyce make an appearance.

CAMERON BOYCE: At six years old, I was taking dance classes. I was the only kid who seemed interested at all.

AMY HECKERLING: She was Tai. She was perfect. It was just-- she was a walking ball of sweetness and vulnerability and energy. She was everything you could ever want.

- The country band The Chicks, formerly known as The Dixie Chicks, released their new album, "Gaslighter." It's their first new album in 14 years. The music video for their song "March March" features footage from the Black Lives Matter protests.

English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding drops her fourth studio album, "Brightest Blue."

She took a five-year break between albums and is back with an 18-track LP.

ELLIE GOULDING: I think that time alone, time away from just the music scene, I got to just, yeah, figure out a lot of things about myself. And that's kind of what the al-- what essentially made the album.
