Camila Cabello Explained Why A Single DM Made Her Delete Dating Apps From Her Phone

At this point, you're probably aware that Camila Cabello is single.

The singer notably broke up with Shawn Mendes last year — but don't expect to see her on the dating apps any time soon.

During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Camila revealed that she actually gave the apps a shot — and left them almost immediately.

"I was on a dating app for like 24 hours, then I left," she said, revealing that a single DM caused her to give the whole thing up entirely.

"The first guy that DM'd me was, like, [an] aspiring singer-songwriter from Nashville and I was just like, I feel weird cause somebody could be using me," she said. "You don't know their intentions."

Totally fair! Camila also explained how she typically prefers to make new connections — romantic or otherwise.

"When you are just trying to make friends, you're gonna meet guys that are vetted by your friends," she said, "which is amazing."
