During this time when we are all cleaning our houses more frequently and therefore buying more everyday essentials, we are also trying to be conscious about using more eco-friendly products.

Here at In The Know, all of our editors have been stocking up on reusable paper towels. We admit that this might sound like an oxymoron, but hear us out — there are “paper” towels out there made of cloth!

While you’ll see a bunch of different options on the market now (you might want to check out these from If You Care or these from Williams Sonoma), we’re partial to the cloth paper towels from Rakot75 that are currently in stock at The Grommet for a couple of reasons.

For starters, we love that these environmentally friendly towels — which are made of viscose and polyester — are really durable and can be used on surfaces both wet and dry. And since they’re designed to be used again and again, they are also tear-resistant while remaining soft and lint-free.

Each roll of these towels lasts for an average of four months; however, a roll can last for up to six months depending on the types of jobs that you use them for. While the obvious thought is to use these towels in kitchens and bathrooms, they can also be used for everything from dusting and polishing around the house to wiping down workout equipment, taking your makeup off or “even as a baby burping cloth or changing pad.”

Your next question might be: How do these towels get clean? The answer is that they are washing machine and dryer safe, so you can toss them in like you would any tea towel! If you’re in a rush, you also can handwash them with a bit of dishwashing liquid.

One pleased reviewer shared that they were “very impressed by these cloth paper towels. Their resilience to deteriorating was impressive. They lasted for many wipes and remained fresh for days. I will be giving these as gifts.”

While a few customers weren’t a fan of the price of this product, others insisted that it was justified by how many times each sheet can be used. “Can be used multiple times, but very expensive,” one reviewer noted.

Shop these reusable towels above and find out where you can still buy household essentials here.
