'Days of Our Lives' Scoop: Telenovela Superstar Ximena Duque Headed to Salem
Days of Our Lives is getting a boost of star power courtesy of NBC Universal’s sister network Telemundo: Telenovela superstar Ximena Duque is joining NBC’s long-running daytime drama, which celebrated its 50th anniversary late last year. Duque, known to telenovela fans for her roles on such shows as Corazón Valiente and Santa Diabla, will arrive in Salem in May 2016. So far not much is known about her character other than her name: “Bianca.” (Our prediction: Bianca will be very sexy.)

The news of Duque’s casting comes just a few days after NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt told TVLine.com that he was “optimistic” Days of Our Lives would be renewed later this year.
