WWE Wrestler Paige Lashes Out on Twitter After Second Suspension

Paige is getting a time-out from the WWE — again — and she’s using some of her newly found free time to lash out about the suspension on Twitter.

The wrestler, whose real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis, went on a social media tirade following the WWE’s announcement that she had been suspended for 60 days.

According to the organization, Paige violated its talent wellness policy for the second time this year.

“WWE has suspended Saraya-Jade Bevis (Paige) for 60 days effective immediately, for her second violation of the company’s talent wellness policy,” the wrestling organization said Monday in a statement.

Paige, along with her boyfriend Alberto Del Rio, was suspended in August for 30 days, also for violating the policy. Del Rio has since parted ways with the WWE.

The wrestler made her displeasure known on Twitter. “Same s–t different day,” the wrestler tweeted.

“Kids…Please don’t get prescriptions or doctors notes. Not acceptable.”

She added, “Rules apply depending on your status.”

As is typically the case, the WWE didn’t offer specifics on her suspension. However, in a detailed description of the policy, the organization writes, “WWE Talent Wellness Program is administered independently by world renowned medical professionals and includes cardiovascular testing, ImPACT, testing for brain function, substance abuse and drug testing, annual physicals, and health care referrals.”

Paige’s father, former pro wrestler Ricky Knight, came to his daughter’s defense, writing on Facebook that painkillers she had been prescribed for a long-term neck injury were apparently responsible for the violation.

“OK here we go again. Yes i know about my daughter’s suspended once again she has not failed a drugs test. My daughter has had a long term neck injury which IMO has not been dealt with,” Knight, who is based in England, wrote. “She has been in pain and out of in ring action for a fair while now and has been prescribed pain killers which apparently is against the wellness program.”
