What John Oliver Is Most Afraid of From the Trump Presidency

John Oliver visited Late Night With Seth Meyers and discussed his biggest fear of the Trump presidency. The season premiere of Last Week Tonight included many of the things Oliver is scared of with Donald Trump in the White House.

Meyers asked if there was anything that could happen that would panic him. Oliver jokingly replied, “Probably, like, a 50-foot-high portrait of himself in D.C somewhere. That is usually the canary in the coal mine for authoritarian regimes.”

Despite his show’s break, Oliver admitted that he hasn’t taken much time off from working, including being constantly engaged to the news. He joked, “Like a heroin addict not being able to disengage from heroin.”

Late Night With Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
