'Westworld' Recap: Dolores Got Her Gun

On Sunday’s Westworld, Dr. Ford continued his suspicion that his former partner Arnold was responsible for the hosts’ deviation from their loops. He questioned Dolores, who said the last thing Arnold told her was that “I was going to help him … to destroy this place.”

Despite Ford’s investigation, Dolores continued to see visions and even began talking to an unknown character. She followed William to a far-off and lawless town, where she resolved to break the pattern she was in. She said to William, “You said people come here to change the story of their lives. I imagined a story where I didn’t have to be the damsel.” The two shot their way out of the town and toward the maze.

Meanwhile, Ford met up with The Man in Black, who offered some constructive criticism for the park. “You know, I always felt this place was missing a real villain. Hence my humble contribution,” he said.

The episode ended with Maeve waking up on a gurney in the lab and saying to a technician, “Hello, Felix. It’s time you and I had a chat.”

Westworld airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
