‘Weird Al’ Disney Series Gets October Premiere & ‘Weird’ Theme Song

“Weird Al” Yankovic is returning to TV! As an adolescent boy! Everyone’s favorite parodist will star as a kid with genetic bad luck in Milo Murphy’s Law. Milo is a descendent of the namesake for Murphy’s Law, which states anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

The animated series premieres Oct. 3 on Disney XD and will feature original songs from Yankovic, including a theme song, “It’s My World and We’re All Living in It.” Sarah Chalke, Jemaine Clement, Diedrich Bader, and Christian Slater round out the cast. No word if any of the voice actors will duet with “Weird Al,” but just a little FYI, Christian digs karaoke. The series was created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, the pair behind Phineas and Ferb.

Yankovic headlined The Weird Al Show for 13 episodes back in 1997. It featured insane opening titles about living in a sewer, and a tree with a pet hamster, and dreaming about wearing lederhosen in a vat of sour cream, and that’s just the beginning.

And he’s made memorable appearances on The Simpsons, The Goldbergs, 30 Rock, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. This summer Yankovic voiced Mr. Peanutbutter’s brother, Captain Peanutbutter, on Netflix’s BoJack Horseman.

Today added an adorable new member to the team … a puppy!
