‘Dancing with the Stars’ marriage proposal: Emma Slater & Sasha Farber latest to find love on ‘DWTS’
The Tuesday night results show of “Dancing with the Stars” ended with the sad double elimination of singer-songwriter Babyface and rapper Vanilla Ice, but there was also cause for celebration. Pro dancer Sasha Farber (currently competing with celeb Terra Jole) proposed marriage to his girlfriend, fellow “DWTS” pro Emma Slater (who was eliminated last week with Rick Perry). “I’ve wanted to do this for such a long time. I love you so, so much,” said Farber before dropping to one knee to challenge “The Bachelor” as ABC’s most romantic reality competition show. She said yes, as the monitors behind them confirmed, and then confetti and streamers rained from the ceiling. Farber also found out on Tuesday night that he and Jole are safely through to the next round of competition, so it was good news all around for the hoofer.
Farber and Slater aren’t the first “Dancing with the Stars” love connection. Current pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy is engaged to the reigning “DWTS” champion, Peta Murgatroyd, and they’re currently expecting their first child.

Rumors of romance were also in the air in season 20 when “Shark Tank” entrepreneur Robert Herjavec was partnered with pro dancer Kym Johnson. They made it official and were married in July 2016.
