AMC is leaning heavily on Negan and new Kingdom leader Ezekiel as the cable network ramps up promotion on The Walking Dead's seventh season.
The official poster for season seven debuted Wednesday featuring none of Rick's band of survivors. Instead, it honest in on Negan and one of his famous (and haunting) sayings from Robert Kirkman's comic book series: "We're just getting started," the poster reads across an image of new series regular Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Meanwhile, a new promo teases the arrival of Kingdom leader Ezekiel (played by new series regular Khary Payton) and offers a glimpse of his combat skills and leadership style.
Of course, the biggest question on everyone's minds as season seven remains about a month away from its debut is who meets Lucille, Negan's baseball bat covered in barbed wire.
Here's the official season seven logline, courtesy of AMC: "The first half of season seven sees the group fractured, broken, bereaved and picking up the pieces while living under the thumb of oppression. Negan will have successfully brought the survivors under his will, brutally convincing them to live under his rules with a deadly and horrific example of what happens if they don't."
