‘The Walking Dead’ Season 8 Returns to Fox in 125 International Markets

CANNES, France — “The Walking Dead” will return to Fox in 125 countries for Season 8, following AMC’s renewal of the show. Season 8 will premiere next year.

Fox partnered with AMC on the series at script stage, and launched the first-ever global simultaneous release in 2010. Now in its 7th season, “The Walking Dead” returns to more than 200 million international viewers in more than 125 countries on Fox near simultaneously with its Oct. 23 premiere on AMC in the U.S.

“Less than a week away from this year’s return, we are not only thrilled about Season 8, but also confident that the surrounding anticipation, combined with our unrivaled footprint and fandom, will make this season’s premiere our best yet,” said Sharon Tal Yguado, exec VP of scripted programming and original development at Fox Network Group.

Fox’s series in international territories include “The Simpsons,” “Empire,” “Scream Queens,” “American Horror Story” and “Homeland.”
