'Walking Dead Ahead': What's In Store for Team Rick in Season 6?

That’s all she wrote. Season 5 of The Walking Dead is dead-er than Pete, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look forward to Season 6! And let’s not forget about Fear the Walking Dead, premiering this summer on AMC. The future holds more zombies than you can shake a stick at!

We may have gotten part of the answer to one of this season’s biggest, burning questions: Who is carving W’s into the zombies’ foreheads? From their leader’s hostile conversation with Morgan, we learned they’re the Wolves, a bandit group of murders who have set traps around Alexandria.

Except we never learned why they’re doing it. Actually, we really don’t know why they’re doing anything. If they are the exiles that Deanna sent away from Alexandria some time before, this may be an elaborate revenge plot, stewing for years in the backwoods of Virginia. Or they’re just crazy (which is an awfully unsatisfying plot twist).

As for what’s going on within the walls of Alexandria, Deanna has made Rick the judge, jury, and executioner in her vengeful desperation against Pete, which I can see going south as quickly as Reg bled out. Season 6 will most likely further explore the clash between her utopian idealism and Rick’s violent realism.

And we should mention that Carol has turned as ruthless as she’s ever been (her dishes better be spotless when returned), Michonne has become the level-headed leader that Rick always aspired to be, Glenn barely bested Nicholas and is dragging him back into town for his inevitable punishment, and Daryl has added a metal chain to his repertoire of awesome weapons. All in all, I can’t wait for more Walking Dead!
