'The Visitor' Trailer Teases New Comic Book From 'Hellboy' Creator Mike Mignola (Exclusive)

The Hollywood Reporter

Something wicked this way comes… but what it is remains a mystery for now.

The video above is a teaser for a new Mignolaverse project by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola, writer Chris Roberson and artist Paul Grist - but beyond the title, The Visitor: How and Why He Stayed, and the information offered in the teaser, everything else about the project will stay unknown for now, according to publisher Dark Horse.

The announcement of The Visitor coincides with this week's release of Hellboy In Hell Vol. 2: The Death Card, the final collection in Mignola's long-running Hellboy series, which has spawned two live-action movies and countless comic book spinoffs, including the long-running BPRD series co-written by Mignola and John Arcudi, which comes to a conclusion with its 147th issue next month.

With Mignola famously taking a break from illustrating comics to work on paintings - some of which appear below - many believed that he might leave comics altogether. With the tease for a new project, however, that's clearly not the case. More details about The Visitor will be released soon.
