Vice President Joe Biden to Appear on 18th Season of ‘Law & Order: SVU’

Law & Order: SVU is known for its guest stars. And for its upcoming 18th season, Vice President Joe Biden will be making an appearance.

Much of Biden’s time in public office has been devoted to fighting against sexual assault, and his cameo on SVU seems to reflect this. The White House issued a statement saying: “The Vice President will tape an appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on the rape kit backlog and efforts to end violence against women.”

The collaboration between Biden and SVU is an ongoing mutual relationship. At the recent Democratic National Convention, SVU star Mariska Hargitay narrated a video touting his achievements, and she later tweeted:

Law and Order: SVU’s 18th season begins Sept. 21 and will likely end next May. It has not yet been announced when Biden’s episode will air, although with the upcoming election, it’s possible that he’ll no longer be in office at that time.
