UPDATE: USA’s ‘Psych’ Renewed For 8-Episode Eighth Season

‘Psych’ Gets Order For Two More Episodes, One To Be Determined By Fans

UPDATE THURSDAY AM: USA Network officially announced the eighth-season renewal of Psych. The network stopped short of calling it the show’s final season through it is widely considered to be the veteran’s final hurrah. It will be an abbreviated Season 8 consisting of eight episodes.

PREVIOUS WEDNESDAY PM: USA Network’s longest-running series currently on the air will continue to hold that title for at least another season. “What better holiday present to give our fans than to announce #Psych has been picked up for an 8th season! Happy holidays!,” the show’s Twitter feed announced earlier tonight. The pickup comes two months before the seventh season of the USA dramedy is set to premiere February 27. It is unclear whether Season 8 will be Psychs last. The upcoming 16-episode seventh season includes the series’ 100th episode as well as a two-hour musical. Psych stars James Roday and Dule Hill and is from Universal Cable Prods in association with Tagline Pictures.
