TV's Go-To Anchorman Gives Pretty Perd-fect Finale Previews for 'NCIS,' 'Empire,' and 'Grey's Anatomy'

Finale season is upon us, and we know it’s tough to keep track of when your favorite shows are signing off. That’s why we called on Jay Jackson, TV’s go-to anchorman, to help us remind you of a few episodes you won’t want to miss.

This week’s newsflashes include previews of the NCIS, Empire, and Grey’s Anatomy season finales. Parks and Recreation fans will notice a definite homage to Pawnee’s Perd Hapley, but Jackson, who was a real-life TV reporter for 22 years, has also delivered the news on shows including Scandal, The Catch, Supergirl, Pretty Little Liars, and Revenge, to name just a few.

Fans are hoping NCIS’s Season 13 finale (airing May 17 at 8 p.m. on CBS) isn’t an unlucky one for Very Special Agent Tony DiNozzo. Actor Michael Weatherly is leaving the show at a dangerous time: an escaped British spy is targeting current and former agents, leading NCIS, FBI, and MI6 on an international manhunt.

Things will be almost as emotional on Empire’s Season 2 finale (airing May 18 at 9 p.m. on Fox). Jamal survives the shooting, of course, but he’ll refuse to make music again until his family ends its fighting and cycle of violence. Anika is being tailed by the Feds, who want her to testify against Lucious. And Cookie decides Hakeem and Laura’s wedding is a good time for a family meeting.

A wedding is also scheduled for Grey’s Anatomy. Will Amelia and Owen actually tie the knot in the Season 12 finale (airing May 19 at 8 p.m. on ABC)? Not open to debate: April’s definitely in a labor.
