Trevor Noah Vs Tomi Lahren ‘Daily Show’ Slugfest Goes Viral; Media Bites, Everybody Wins
The Daily Show booked TheBlaze’s Tomi Lahren as its guest last night. Host Trevor Noah and Lahren, who talks super-fast and has therefore become an online star with her takes on Colin Kaepernick and Black Lives Matter, slugged it out, as hoped. Reporters Who Cover Television bit; the video went viral. Everybody wins.
Lahren kicked things off by noting she had entered the lion’s den, in appearing on the Comedy Central late-night show. Noah made an Africa joke, and the the two were off. A good time was had by both, and the studio audience seemed to enjoy itself too, though they were no match for, say, a Jerry Springer crowd. Watch the clip above.
Best moments include Lahren saying she does not see color — triggering fond memories of Stephen Colbert declaring he does not see race when he was host of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report – and Noah’s reaction to Lahren declaring she does not like labels.
