Touching Moment at ‘Miss Universe’ After Seizure Leaves Contestant Partially Paralyzed
Miss Slovenia, Ana Halozan, was unable to compete in Sunday’s Miss Universe 2015 due to an unfortunate medical condition. Shortly after arriving at the competition, Ana suffered an epileptic seizure and was taken to the hospital. When she awoke from the ordeal, doctors discovered that the right side of her face was paralyzed.
Despite the harrowing events, doctors gave Ana a greenlight to attend the competition as a spectator. However, Ana did more than just attend, she was invited to take the stage. Wearing a red dress and looking wonderful, Ana was greeted with a standing ovation by the crowd.
Ana was disappointed about not being able to compete, but kept a positive attitude about the future, saying, “I have more heart, I will overcome this.”
