Top 5 Trump Punch Lines of the Week: From Easter to Taxes

Politics continue to dominate the late night TV landscape. Most monologues are filled with jokes about Donald Trump, his family, and his administration. It is impossible to keep up with all the punchlines, so we rounded up the top five of the week.

This week, Trump celebrated Easter and the rest of the country prepared their taxes, and both events were huge targets for late night hosts. On The Daily Show, Trevor Noah showed the video of Melania Trump nudging Donald to put his hand over his heart during the national anthem. Trevor said, in his best Melania voice, “Come on, Donald, it’s easy! Just put your hand where the human heart is supposed to be!” On The Late Late Show, James Corden said, “Apparently the Easter egg hunt is still going on, because Trump hides those Easter eggs as well as he hides his tax returns.”

Speaking of tax returns, Conan pointed out on Tuesday that, “Today is tax day. It’s the day that all Americans but one release their tax records.” While Jimmy Fallon joked, “I guess trump got some good news this year. He got to write off the first 100 days of his presidency as a total loss.”
