Top 5 Game Show Moments of 2016

For any poor soul out there who didn’t get to watch every minute of every game show in 2016, you’re in luck. From every absurd answer to every stunning victory — every sweet moment to every moment a host talked down to a contestant — we’ve picked out the top game show moments of 2016.

We kick things off with a couple on Family Feud, Megan and Adam, who announced to their family, and the world, that they were expecting their first child. They said the child was due in December, so we’d just like to say congratulations to Megan and Adam. Consider this a gift for the baby.

Next up, on Jeopardy, it seems Alex Trebek has been the suave host for so long he’s forgotten how relationships work for the average guy. Trebek tells a contestant that talking to a girl is all the icebreaker he should need, not thinking about the fact that the contestant doesn’t have the silky smooth voice and vast knowledge of countless subjects that Trebek possesses.

While playing Fast Money on Celebrity Family Feud, Snoop Dogg gave an answer that left Steve Harvey speechless. Snoop was asked to finish a common phrase, but gave an answer that’s so uncommon, it may never have been uttered before.

Back on Jeopardy, Alex Trebek was a bit of a bully when a contestant told him about her favorite kind of music: nerdcore hip-hop. Trebek had never heard of it, so she described to him what nerdcore is and who does it. Trebek responded by calling people who are into nerdcore hip-hop losers.

On Family Feud, contestant Kai played Fast Money and did the exact opposite of Snoop: She gave incredible answers. Kai scored so well that she got 194 of the 200 points necessary for her team to win $20,000.

And the best game show moment of the year: Three Price Is Right contestants pulled off a feat so rare it hasn’t been done in 25 years. While at the wheel, all three had to spin twice, and all three got what they needed to end up with the coveted $1.
