Tom Cruise and Jimmy Fallon Perform ‘The Mummy’ as Imagined by Kids
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Tom Cruise stopped by to talk about his new movie, The Mummy, which will be in theaters this Friday.
Cruise also joined Jimmy Fallon for a segment called “Kid Theater,” where Fallon and Cruise read from scripts written by kids. In this case, the kids were asked to write scripts called “The Mummy.” The kids were told only the title and not given any additional information or direction.
One script was written by 9-year-old Reese. What starts off as a bone-throwing fight at a playground between Skeleton (Cruise) and Mummy (Fallon) ends in a friendly head bump and a game of duck-duck-goose.
Seven-year-old Aaron wrote a script about two strangers, Charlie (Fallon) and Mummy (Cruise), who did two high fives to celebrate their new friendship and then ate 10,000 hot dogs each because they were so happy about it. Although the actual Mummy movie probably doesn’t feature any hot dogs, the producers might want to consider that for the sequel.
