This Week in Game Shows: The Most Incredulous Contestant Ever Wins Big on ‘Price Is Right’

One lucky contestant named Linda on Friday’s The Price Is Right nearly missed her chance to win a lot of prizes when all she did was stand up and clap when her name was called. She eventually realized that it was her name that was announced, and a series of unbelievable wins was underway.

Playing Spelling Bee, Linda passed up the chance for cash and ended up winning a car. At the wheel Linda spun and landed on $1, cementing her place in the Showcase Showdown while earning $1,000 and a bonus spin for a shot at more cash. She spun again and once again landed on $1, winning $25,000. Then in the Showcase Showdown, Linda was only $132 closer to the right price than the other contestant. Linda’s total winnings in cash and prizes reached nearly $75,000. And she couldn’t believe any of it, maintaining an adorably incredulous response to it all.

On Family Feud this week we were introduced to Carol, or Cool Carol as we call her, and she’s one of the best Feud contestants we’ve ever seen. Carol had Steve Harvey cracking up whether she meant to or not. Not only did she have great answers, right or wrong, she genuinely wished the other team good luck when it was their turn to play, something Harvey said he’s never seen before.

On Jeopardy, one of the clues was a picture of a young man holding a large gavel. The face was instantly recognizable as GOP senator and former presidential candidate Ted Cruz.

And back on The Price Is Right, one contestant was constantly running in place next to Drew Carey, and then she won the perfect prize: a treadmill.
