This 'Outcast' Clip From New York Comic Con Is Beyond Freaky

Something creepy this way comes on Cinemax next year.

At New York Comic Con this past weekend, the network unveiled a first look at Outcast, based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman (the creator of The Walking Dead). And the clip might’ve been the freakiest thing we’ve seen all year.

The teaser starts with a close-up of a roach-like insect, then switches to a young boy’s eyes. It’s boy vs. bug for a few tense moments… until the boy smashes the bug with his forehead. And you have to see what happens next for yourself! (Warning: It’s not for the faint of heart… or stomach.)

Outcast tells the story of Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), whose loved ones are possessed by demons throughout his childhood. As an adult, he enlists the help of Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister) to discover what’s behind the supernatural occurrences. Kirkman said Outcast is the first comic book series he started writing with an ending in mind.

Outcast doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but will air on Cinemax sometime in 2016.
