‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Performers Guaranteed to Put a Smile On Your Face

On So You Think You Can Dance, the judges were dazzled in New York by amazing professional dancers, but sometimes the less-than-professional performers are the ones who put a smile on their faces.

Twenty-year-old Peter Mangione from Lindenhurst, N.Y., was one such person. Mangione said, “I started dancing about, like, six months ago, and my friend said, ‘You’re not that bad.’ I mean, I’m not that good, but I’m not that bad.”

Because of his friend’s encouragement, Mangione decided to audition, and he said, “This is a hidden talent. Just a couple of my close friends know about it. I’m not afraid to throw my body in any direction. I can do a backflip; [a] front handspring. I’m not afraid to try anything. If they tell me to do jazz, like, I’ll try jazz.”

Dancing to Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk” featuring Bruno Mars, Mangione flipped his shirtless pectorals into the judge’s hearts — but sadly, not into the academy.

So You Think You Can Dance airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Fox. Watch clips and full episodes of SYTYCD free on Yahoo View.
