New 'X-Files' Teaser Features Needles, Soldiers, Aliens(?)
There is an incredible amount of buzz surrounding the revival of The X-Files. The cult thriller starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson aired for nine seasons on Fox, and after a 14-year hiatus (give or take two movies), it is set to return in January of 2016.

During Thursday night’s episode of Wayward Pines, viewers were treated to a teaser for the upcoming X-Files season. While the promo was short, viewers caught a glimpse of some type of wreckage, armed soldiers, maybe some dead aliens, a syringe gun with a dozen needles, an “I want to believe” poster, and of course agents Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) carrying their ever-present flashlights. What does it all mean? Mark your calendars now, X-Philes: We’ve only got six more months to wait.
The X-Files premieres January 24, 2016 at 10 p.m. on Fox.
