‘The Walking Dead’ Recap: Is Daryl Dead?
The penultimate episode of Season 6 of The Walking Dead was an ultimate shocker. The gang we’ve come to love became scattered as fan favorites Carol and Daryl went searching for something to quell the fire in their souls.
The episode opens with Carol at the end of her killing rope, so she quietly runs away in middle of the night. Perhaps she’s searching for a place where nobody has to kill anybody? Unfortunately the first thing she had to do was kill a bunch of the Saviors. We don’t know where she’s heading, but we do know she’s wounded and Morgan is tracking her down.
Then there was Daryl, who went looking for Dwight because he killed Denise. So Glenn, Michonne, and Rosita went after him and had mixed results. While the search party found him, he didn’t want to turn back. Then Glenn and Michonne were taken prisoner by Dwight and the Saviors. And when Daryl came back to save them, he got shot by Dwight.
It’s hard to tell how badly injured Daryl is, but that didn’t stop fans from speculating on Twitter. Carrie Underwood even got in on the action, tweeting, “Daryl is fine … everybody calm down!”
The Walking Dead finale airs next Sunday at 9 p.m. on AMC.
