Most of the family and friends of the six Chillicothe, Ohio, women whose disappearances have been the focus of the Investigation Discovery serialized docuseries The Vanishing Women have gotten little closure in the cases.

But in Monday’s series finale, which was delayed from last month so the network could cover continuing developments, Timberly Claytor’s loved ones get answers to what happened to the 38-year-old mother of five.

No spoilers — though a quick search of news reports will reveal the details — but much of the finale focuses on the trial of a local man named Jason McCrary, who was suspected of murdering Claytor in May 2015 after accusing her of stealing drugs from him.

McCrary, 38, was already serving a three-year jail stint for failing to register a new address, and during the dramatic trial, a shaken witness testifies that she saw him shoot Claytor. But McCrary has another version of events, which includes pointing the finger at a man named Ernest “Dolla Bill” Moore III, who McCrary claims shot and killed Claytor from the backseat of McCrary’s car after accusing her of stealing during a visit to Moore’s home.

The Vanishing Women wrap-up, which caps one of ID’s most popular series ever, plays out the jury’s verdict in the July 2016 trial and its aftermath, while also checking in with friends and family of the victims, as well as members of the local media, who’ve appeared throughout the series to discuss the victims and their personal struggles, the area’s ongoing drug trade and how it may have connected all the missing women, and local law enforcement’s efforts to investigate the cases and assure the community they’ll find out what happened to the vanishing women.

The investigations are ongoing, and anyone with information on any of the disappearances is asked to contact the Chillicothe task force hotline at 740-774-3463 or via email at findme@RossSheriff.com.

The Vanishing Women series finale airs Aug. 29 at 10 p.m. on ID
