The Simpsons Show Their Couch Some Love on Valentine's Day

As much as the Simpson family may love each other, those feelings pale in comparison to the affection they share for the most valued resident of 742 Evergreen Terrace: their couch. It seems that they don’t tell the comfy three-seat sofa that they value it enough, though. In classic “couch gag” tradition, the jokes only escalate from there, involving, among other things, a gun-toting Maggie riding to the sofa’s rescue atop a camel and a surprise punchline. The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
