Grace VanderWaal took home the $1 million grand prize and earned herself a headlining performance in Las Vegas after she was announced the winner of America’s Got Talent.
The 12-year-old singer-songwriter has been a fan favorite since she first wowed the judges with her unique voice and ukulele skills. She was judge Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer recipient, and all the judges have been supporting her since day one.
Halfway through the show, VanderWaal opened for Stevie Nicks with her original song “I Don’t Know My Name.” After Nicks performed the popular Fleetwood Mac song “Landslide,” she stuck around to say some nice things about VanderWaal. The legendary rocker is a fan of the show and said, “She reminds me of me. In a lot of [ways], we sing similar. We look to be quirky and a little different.”
Now it’s just a matter of sitting back and watching the little singer grow into the performer America has come to love.
