What Rivalry? How Zombies Brought Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC Together

Backstreet’s back, alright!

In quite possibly the weirdest news you’ll hear all day, from the company who brought you Sharknado: *NYSNC’s Joey Fatone, the Backstreet Boys’s A.J. McLean, Nick Carter and his wife, Lauren Kitt, will be starring in a horror western movie on Syfy called, Dead Seven.

Wait a second. BSB and *NSYNC are starring in a movie — together? What about their infamous boy band rivalry? The Dead Seven cast, appearing together for the first time to talk about the project, sat down with Yahoo TV at San Diego Comic-Con, where we asked the guys if their “rivalry” was sort of like a “DC, Marvel type of thing” — and A.J. explained that it never even existed in the first place. “Howie [Dorough] and Chris [Kirkpatrick] went to college together. I’ve known Joey [Fatone] for years,” he says. “There was never any kind of rivalry. I think the media just sparked something, trying to instigate, to make us hate each other, but we never did.”

Well, say bye bye bye to that rumor.
