'The Night Manager' Sneak Peek: Roper Interrogates Pine
After the beating Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) took in last week’s episode of AMC’s The Night Manager, we’re happy to report that his face is healing nicely.
As you see in the sneak peek above from Tuesday’s episode, Pine’s well enough to try to convince international arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie) that his motives for rescuing Roper’s son were pure and not a means to infiltrate Roper’s inner circle in order to bring him down.

In typical Roper fashion, the conversation is civilized (until it doesn’t have to be) and conducted over champagne at his villa in Majorca — a location the cast and crew, including executive producer Stephen Garrett, won’t soon forget.
“You know, sometimes you have experiences that you can call corrupting. When you experience something that you’re probably not going to experience again and you think, 'Oh my god! How do I go back from this? I’ve seen this.’ It’s like being shown the kingdom of heaven and then having it taken away from you,” Garrett told Yahoo TV. “[That] is also part of the seduction of the Roper world. However horrible he his, and whatever horrible things he’s done to accumulate his wealth, you think, ‘I’d like to live here.’”
