'The Goldbergs' First Look: Barry and Erica Have a Mother of a Problem
Hell hath no fury like a smother scorned. It’s 1980-something and it’s Mother’s Day — or, in The Goldbergs household, make that Smother’s Day. But no matter what you call it, Beverly Goldberg (Wendi McLendon-Covey) is one unhappy mama on her special day, because while most moms get breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day, she is taking breakfast orders from her kids!
In this exclusive sneak peek from The Goldbergs episode, “Smother’s Day,” Barry and Erica (Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia) go all Sixteen Candles and totally forget about Mother’s Day. Instead, they’re wondering why their mom hasn’t made them breakfast yet. Of course, there’s still one Goldberg kid who can salvage this wreck of a morning, and luckily he’s bearing flowers, a card, and some really squeezable cheeks.
